Heritage Cycle Day
To promote the launch of the new Heritage Cycle Routes in August, we are putting on a free event including:
Organised Cycle Route
FREE Museum Entry for participants on the day
& a FREE Lunch!

The route:
The route taken on the day starts at Hutton-Le-Hole, goes to Gillamoor, then Fadmoor, then back around to
Hutton-Le-Hole, which is just under 8 and a half miles. A longer route is available for those who want to be challenged! It is suitable for most ages and abilities, with young children probably struggling to cycle the hills, but walking these is always an option!
The Heritage:
The route covers some interesting points, which you can learn all about on your way, including: the wonderful folk tale of Sarkless Kitty, and the very point she is said to have haunted, Gillamoor Church and the works of Joseph Foord.
Timings:
Registration and set off from the Museum - Between 10am and 1pm.
Free lunch and refreshments at Fadmoor Village Hall - Open between 10.15am and 2.30pm.
Museum last admission* - 4.30pm for closing at 5.30pm
*Museum entry is free upon completion of the cycle route.
Booking:
Booking is essential as there are only 60 places available for the day. Once you have booked it is essential you let us know if you can no longer make it, as lunches will have been bought, and other people could be given the opportunity to attend. For each place cancelled a £5 charge will be made if the place is then not
re-filled.
